Release Notes – V2023.04.27

There have been some improvements in both Point of Interest (POI) Manager and Placecast in this latest sprint that are worth sharing. 

The end of these notes also includes a list of remaining “Known Issues” that are still being resolved. The software-function-related issues should be resolved within the next 2 weeks before the next production release. 

IMXDEV-2340

Although most users won’t notice this it is worth pointing out to users who have access to more than one account now an ability to switch between accounts. This is mainly used for Motionworks employees who are Account managers. Now a user can quickly and easily switch between their accounts.

This functionality is especially important for Placecast functionality as you can login and see Places and Place Sets created by that account. As more Account level functionality is rolled out this will have more meaningful uses to account level settings across the application.

“Adding a New Place” in POI Manager has been improved for the map to take up more screen “real estate” on the right in scenarios when Advanced Options are displayed.

And, the buttons on the bottom right-hand corner have been improved to allow for toggling back and forth between satellite and street map, recentering, dropping a pin, and changing the orientation of the map to north.

Now when a new polygon is created by a user this triggers an email notification to our GIS (Geography Information Systems) team that a new polygon is ready to be audited for approval and certification of it as a new data collection area.

Placecast also sees a number of improvements starting with where previously, if you ran a scenario where the Timing was Weekly (Recent Week), then the Total Visits (Selected Timing) was left blank. 

This was confusing and unintuitive for a user when the Total Visits for the Total Visits (Current Week) field right next to it had data. So, in this specific timing, we’ve made sure that this displays the value that we’d expect to see, even if it is the same as the Current Week's Visit counts.

When Selecting Places or Place Sets for a Placecast report we were running into an issue where My Places filters were not registering even though they worked in Place Sets and MW Places. This has been fixed and users can now filter on any of their Places just as they would in the other Place selection option screens.

IMXDEV-2416

A similar but slightly different inconsistency that was occuring on the MW Places tab of Selecting Places inside of Placecast was when filtering and searching by Place Type the dropdown did not have the Clear Selection option although it does have this option in My Places. This has now been added to MW Places and appears now in both sections.
