This sprint saw continued improvements to Point of Interest (POI) Manager, Placecast, and User Account Management (UAM). The big thing for this sprint that isn’t quite getting released yet is our greatly expanding Places Library. We’ve been finishing up a lot of the groundwork but in the very near future we will take the All Places library from 170,000 to 16 million places. Hopefully this will be released in the next month.
The final item includes a list of remaining “Known Issues” that are still being resolved.
IMXDEV-2660
When creating new POIs if a user moved or placed a pin/marker on the map then it would overwrite the address and information already shared on the left hand side of the information with the closest found place in our database to this pin’s location. This was causing issues with overwriting user created information so we’ve removed the ability for this attempted “auto-populate” to overwrite anything on the left hand side. If you start creating a new POI with a polygon or map pin then we will still attempt to populate the rest of the places information (name, address, city, state, postal code, etc) but only if that information has not already been populated.
IMXDEV-2649
If you had played around with sorting in Placecast previously you might have noticed that it didn’t sort across tabs. Meaning if you had 10 rows displayed and sorted on a column like Total Visits and then go to page two the results won’t continue to count up or down. Sorting now works across the entire Place Set and not just the rows currently visible in the display.
*There is still an outstanding bug related to sort breaking when certain columns have null/empty values that will be fixed in the next release. This specifically happens on the Population Profile Visits and Population Profile Visits % columns (IMXDEV-2648).
IMXDEV-2803
We’d recently rolled out all the new User Account Management functionality and continue to expand upon that with the ability now to create new Accounts through the application. Previously our GIS team would create accounts directly to the database but now we’re able to create these in the application along with the previous ability to associate users to these accounts. This is another big step forward of adding Account based functionality to the platform and streamlining user and account creation for Motionworks.
Known Outstanding Issues
- IMXDEV-2570 - Placecast - How could Airport locations have 100% Local Visits and no long distance traffic?
- IMXDEV-2413 - Placecast - Data inconsistencies noticed by Sales - Data Reporting Weeks Issue
- IMXDEV-2333 - Placecast - Locations in MW Places search have empty Address Information
- IMXDEV-2648 - Placecast - Sort appears to break when a row has a Null "-" value - Population Profile Visits
