This sprint saw continued improvements to User Account Management (UAM) that are really only going to impact admins with continued work on issuing of licenses and account management. Along with UAM the big items on this sprint continues to be the behind-the-scenes work on the upcoming Popcast and Places V2 (POI Manager, Placecast, and expanded library of Places) Releases. Both items are close and we will start to see Popcast at Home being released next sprint with additional and expanded cohort segmentation available in Population Library available for purchase and upgrades.
The final item includes a list of remaining “Known Issues” that are still being resolved.

In order to optimize the load of Explorer (Inventory, Population, Places), we’re now presenting returning users with a pop-up message to allow them to reload their previous sessions filters and data or start fresh. This matters because loading all your previous data can take a little bit of time to get into the tool depending on the complexity of your last search. If you want to start fresh, a user wouldn’t want to wait for that to load. Now you can speed up that experience and just Start New.

Previously, sometimes a state is listed using its abbreviation and sometimes it is by its full name. With this change we are standardizing all States to use Full Name in listings. This will matter more as we expand beyond the U.S. but the platform shouldn’t require a user to search both TX and Texas if they want to find all places located in that state for example. This will be applicable in all locations that utilize places (Placecast, POI Manager, Places Library, etc). Note that we specifically aren’t addressing all international state entities at this time but this does lay the groundwork to clean those locations in the future.
IMXDEV-2804
In Users and Account Management we previously only supported very limited sorting and filtering on the Accounts List. With this update you will be able to sort on most of the columns including Account name, Description, Website, Address , Date Created, Last Modified, and more. You can also filter on Account name.

A handful of admin users with lots of permissions, roles and groups were seeing an issue that we’d capped the capacity of the JavaScript Web Token that stores all this information. Because of this those users were having issues where things were not loading like points on a map, cohort segments, and lists of places. We’ve removed these elements from the token instead decoding this information in other ways. This should remove a range of issues that those users were encountering, and they will be communicated with specifically. For everyone else this could lead to a better user experience through faster loading of the application but we’re unsure at this point how noticeable these improvements will be for the majority of users.
IMXDEV-2897
In its current state Place Library in Explorer is limited in the ways that a user can use it. Once we finish up some of the current major initiatives we’ll be coming back to improve this experience, but in the mean time we wanted to let users know that improvements are on the way but to also set proper expectations about the current limitations and to that end when a user loads Place Library they will be greeted with the following popup.
Known Outstanding Issues
- IMXDEV-2413 - Placecast - Data inconsistencies noticed by Sales - Data Reporting Weeks Issue
- IMXDEV-2333 - Placecast - Locations in MW Places search have empty Address Information
